Canada needs a renewed National Population-level Neurological Health Survey

The new survey will deliver the results needed to inform and improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of neurological and mental health conditions, resulting in better outcomes for patients and caregivers.

Neurological conditions are complex, impact every aspect of life and represent significant challenges for individuals affected, their families and caregivers.

Over 10 million Canadians
are living with neurological conditions ranging from illnesses, disorders, and injuries which impact every aspect of life.

Neurological conditions are estimated to cost the Canadian economy $61 billion annually, which is more than cancer and cardiovascular disease combined.

Canada’s previous study of neurological conditions, 2014’s Mapping Connections, was widely successful, but needs to be renewed after over a decade.
